Welcome to Pheasant Ridge Farm

The art and woodworking studios of Tom and Wendy Cooke

Originally Door County mainlanders, Tom and Wendy first visited Washington Island in 1990 aboard their Cape Dory sailboat "Spirit".  During a three-day layover due to fog, they discovered the natural beauty and friendly atmosphere of island life north of the “tension line”.

Several years later, they purchased a restored boathouse on the shore of Detroit Harbor spending the next ten years summering on the island with their children, Geoffrey and Kathryn.  In 2006 they purchased Pheasant Ridge Farm, a complex of several buildings originally built to display the private collection of antique race cars owned by Charles F. Davis.  Today, Pheasant Ridge Farm houses an art studio, woodworking and metalworking studios and GlenElla Lavender Fields.
